CAPTAIN ATR – FIJI LINK

Fiji Link is inviting suitably qualified and experienced pilots for the role – Captain ATR.

This role reports to the Manager Flight Operations – Chief Pilot through the Fleet Captain ATR. As the Pilot in Command, the successful incumbent will have final responsibility for the disposition of the aircraft while in command. The Pilot in Command must discharge these responsibilities in accordance with any information or directions issued or made available under the Air Navigation Regulations and the Company Operations Manual.The Pilot in Command may delegate functions to other personnel but may not delegate responsibility.The Pilot in Command is part of the public profile of Fiji Link, his/her appearance, behaviour and professionalism reflects the ethos of the Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft.
  • Have the authority to reject an aircraft prior to departure of a flight if dissatisfied with any aspect of the airworthiness and/or maintenance of the aircraft.
  • Ensures the flight is conducted safely and efficiently and in compliance with all relevant legislations and requirements.
  • Operate an aircraft as rostered.
  • Ensure that flight is directed securely within requirements as detailed by Fiji Link Flight Operations Manual Suite.
  • Ensure that flight can be made safely, considering the latest information.
  • Taking reasonable steps to ensure the aircraft is worthy, its equipment is serviceable, and that the aircraft is operating in accordance with the requirements of the MEL.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the minimum crew are fit for duty and familiar with emergency procedures and safety equipment.
  • Ensure the aircraft is not flown unless the correct type of fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid and oxygen is loaded in sufficient quantities for the unplanned flight.
  • Ensure the aircraft is loaded within structural and performance limits.
  • Ensure all passengers are adequately briefed as to the location of emergency exits and the use of safety equipment.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the aircraft’s performance requirements and take-off and landing data meet all safety and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all required manuals and documents are on board.
  • Ensure a continuous communication at all times during the flight.
  • Ensure correct completion of all documentation.
  • Advise as appropriate to the Fleet Captain DHC6 or Fleet Captain and Training Manager DHC6 of any non-routine event, incident or accident.
  • Ensure recorded data is not erased after a flight involving an accident or incident.
  • Ensure checklists are complied with for all phases of flight.
  • Ensure that checklists are compiled with for all phases of flight.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A valid ATPL
  • A current Class 1 medical certificate
  • A multi-Engine Instrument Rating
  • Type Rating ATR
  • 21 years of age or older
  • 1500 Hours Flight Time including:
  • 250 hours Pilot in Command
  • 500 hours on type ATR
  • 100 hours of Instrument Time
  • 100 hours night flight time

Captain DHC6 – Fiji Link

Fiji Link is inviting suitably qualified and experienced pilots for the role – Captain DHC-6.

This role reports to the Manager Flight Operations – Chief Pilot through the Fleet Captain DHC6. As the PIC, the successful incumbent will have final responsibility for the disposition of the aircraft while in command. These duties are discharged in accordance with information or direction in the Air Navigation Regulation and other Company documents. The Pilot in Command may delegate functions to other personnel but may not delegate responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Valid Fiji Commercial Pilot Licence (or higher)
  • Current Medical Class One
  • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
  • Type Rating DHC6
  • Valid Frozen ATPL
  • 1500 Hours Flight Time including
  • 250 hours Flight Time as Pilot in Command
  • 750 hours ME RPT turboprop/turbofan experience
  • 5 hours night time
  • 100 hours of Instrument Flight Time
