About the role

What about being in the cockpit of our company, where you will experience a rich combination of German and Turkish aviation knowledge, as well as an excellent European airline model? Required qualifications to be employed by SunExpress as a Captain or First Officer are listed below:

Requirements

  • Maximum age; 59 years + 364 days for type rated, 57 years + 364 days for non type rated when starting the ground course,
  • ATPL (A) license,
  • PART-MED class 1 medical,
  • High School/Gymnasium graduation or equivalent,
  • Min 4000 flight hours total time,
  • Min 1500 flight hours on aircraft with more than 27000 kg MTOW,
  • Min 3 years airline pilot experience (starting with type rating endorsement date),
  • Min 500 hours PIC experience of which at least 300 hours as a Commander on an aircraft with more than 27000 kg MTOW,
  • English language proficiency min ICAO level 4,

  • For First Officers who do not have B737NG type rating, training is arranged through the SunExpress TRTO.
  • If you wish, you can pay the Type Rating fee from your payroll during your three-year service contract with your monthly wage.

  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Type-Rated First Officers: Candidates may reapply as Captains after being upgraded to a captain position in another airline.
  • Captains: Candidates may reapply after accumulating at least 2,000 additional Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours following their last interview.
  • Each candidate is granted only one re-interview opportunity per career stage.
  • All applications will be carefully reviewed based on the candidate's current qualifications, experience, and overall profile.
  • If the candidate meets the required criteria, they may be invited to continue with the selection process.
