About Pegasus Airlines
Pegasus Airlines (Turkish: Pegasus Hava Taşımacılığı A.Ş.) (BİST: PGSUS), sometimes stylized as flypgs, is a Turkish low-cost airline headquartered in the Kurtköy area of Pendik, Turkey. As the second-largest airline in Turkey, it operates bases at several Turkish airports, primarily utilizing Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul.
Founded in 1989 as an inclusive tour charter airline in partnership with Aer Lingus, Pegasus was acquired by ESAS Holding in 2005 and subsequently transformed into a low-cost carrier. Today, the airline operates a fleet of roughly 130 aircraft, primarily Airbus A320neo family jets, and serves over 150 destinations across Europe, Asia and North Africa. In December 2025, Pegasus announced an agreement to acquire Czech Airlines and its subsidiary Smartwings.
