About Seaborne Airlines

Seaborne began operations in 1992 with scenic flights over Alaska’s Misty Fjords before expanding to the Caribbean in 1993. Inspired by the legacy of Antilles Airboats, Seaborne established scheduled seaplane services between St. Croix and St. Thomas. With over 30 years of Caribbean experience, the airline built a strong reputation for safety, reliability, customer service, and operational excellence. After growth and challenges, including the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Seaborne continued its seaplane operations through ownership changes. Following Silver Airways’ 2025 liquidation, Seaborne continues under new ownership with a renewed focus on restoring its historic inter-island seaplane service.
