We are looking for professionals to work as Commanders.

In your flight plan, you are expected to work alongside the Operations Directorate Team, aligned with the Company's strategy and current regulations, contributing to the evolution of our operations with the highest standards of safety and consistency.

Job Mission
To exercise the authority of Commander from the time of check-in for the flight until the handover of the aircraft at the end of the trip, ensuring operational safety, regulatory compliance and continuity of operations, and representing the company before passengers, crew and authorities, in accordance with the Brazilian Aeronautical Code (CBA) and current regulations.

Furthermore, to work in close collaboration with the Company's Teams, contributing your experience to the continuous strengthening of operations.

Authority

  • To exercise full authority over the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo throughout the entire operation.
  • Refuse to accept an aircraft that is not airworthy.

To postpone, suspend, or terminate the flight when essential for safety.

  • Refusing boarding or ordering disembarkation of persons who compromise safety or discipline on board.
  • Take the necessary measures to protect the aircraft, the people and the goods being transported.
  • Represent the company's Administrator throughout the trip.
  • Act in cases related to illegal acts (AVSEC), maintaining communication with the control bodies.
  • Contract for extraordinary maintenance, when necessary.
  • Validate licenses and certificates, as per the prerogative of the aeronautical authority.


Operational Safety

  • To ensure the safety of crew, passengers, and cargo from the closing of the doors until final disembarkation.
  • o ensure airworthiness, weight and balance conditions.
  • Ensure you have the correct amount of fuel and monitor its consumption.
  • Assess weather conditions, NOTAMs, and aerodrome conditions.
  • Ensure that the flight is properly dispatched with the DOV.
  • To ensure compliance with the procedures of the Air Operator Safety Program.
  • Report unsafe conditions to regulatory bodies and the Safety department.
  • Identify and report operational hazards through the company's official system.


Crew Management

  • To ensure the technical and disciplinary subordination of the crew.
  • Delegate responsibilities, except those related to flight safety.
  • Define the Pilot Flying schedule and ensure the checklists are executed correctly.
  • Ensure that only essential activities are carried out during critical phases of the flight.
  • To ensure compliance with professional regulations, including working hours, rest periods, and operational limits.


Compliance and Records

  • Complete or ensure the correct completion of the Aircraft Logbook and Technical Report.
  • Record incidents that require mandatory inspection, such as hard landings, severe turbulence, tail strikes, RTOs, lightning strikes, and exceeding operational limits.
  • To ensure the recording of incidents on board, including medical events, births and deaths, in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • To ensure compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) guidelines and the Environmental Policy.


Cabin and Passengers

  • Ensure the transmission of safety instructions.
  • To ensure compliance with safety standards in normal situations, emergencies, and evacuations.
  • To ensure the integrity and safety of the cockpit.

Ensure the correct use of emergency equipment.

Requirements

Training
  • High school diploma (Higher education is a plus)
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in the role and on the A330 aircraft
Required Certifications
  • Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
  • Valid Technical Qualification Certificate (CHT) for the Airbus A330
  • Valid Aeronautical Medical Certificate (CMA)
  • Brazilian passport valid for more than 6 (six) months
  • Valid US B1, B2 and D visas
Technical Knowledge
  • Applicable aviation regulations (RBAC 121 and CBA)
  • Operational Safety Management System (SMS)
  • A330 aircraft operating procedures
  • Operation of widebody aircraft and long-haul flights
Languages
  • English language proficiency (ICAO) 4 or higher
