About the role

Mission
The mission of the position is to exercise command, responsibility, and safety for the operation of the aircraft during flight time, safely transporting the crew, passengers, baggage, and cargo from the initial airport to the destination airport.

Functions

Fly the aircraft following the pre-established routes and patterns
Preparation of the flight plan, specifying it to the crew
Checking weather conditions for takeoff, cruise and destination
Aircraft weight and balance control
Fuel load check
Communication with the control tower
Decision-making in case of emergency
Teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure

Requirements

Colombian nationality
Commercial pilot license
28 years old
3,000 total minimum flight hours
1,000 flight hours as captain in airline JETs or 3,000 flight hours as captain in ATRs
Valid medical fitness certificate (CMA)
Background check certificate
Valid passport
ICAO English level 4 or higher
No history of accidents or incidents as pilot
