About the role
ACI Jet is seeking a Challenger 605 Captain (Pilot in Command) for a full-time flight operations position based at San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP) in California.
The Challenger 605 Captain is responsible for the safe, efficient and professional operation of the aircraft under Part 91 and Part 135. The position operates the aircraft on behalf of Executive Jet Management (EJM) under its Part 135 certificate, while maintaining strong working relationships with ACI Jet employees, vendors, clients and aircraft owners.
The Captain reports to the account Lead Captain / Aircraft and Crew Manager (ACM) and works closely with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
This is a customer-focused business aviation position combining Challenger 605 flight operations, flight planning, regulatory compliance, aircraft preparation and premium passenger service.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Challenger 605 safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures, aircraft limitations, manuals and applicable regulations.
- Conduct flight operations under FAR Part 91 and Part 135 requirements.
- Coordinate with ACI Jet Flight Dispatch for assigned flight operations.
- Provide professional, courteous and high-quality service to charter clients and aircraft owners.
- Complete and verify aircraft pre-flight inspections before departure.
- Confirm aircraft documentation, publications, equipment and passenger service items are ready for flight.
- Review fuel requirements and weather conditions for departure, destination, en-route and alternate airports.
- Assess airport, runway, customs and permit requirements applicable to each flight.
- Maintain current Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) navigation databases and applications.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable sections of the ACI Jet Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
- Ensure flight operations comply with applicable governmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3,500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 1,500 hours multi-engine flight time
- Minimum 300 hours instrument flight time
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with English-proficient endorsement
- Challenger CL-604 type rating highly desired
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Must meet ICAO Annex 1, Section 2.1.10 requirements
- Valid United States Passport
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 3–5 years of professional aviation experience
- Must reside within 90 minutes of San Luis Obispo County Airport (KSBP)
- Highly motivated and organized
- Strong aviation professionalism and customer-service skills
