Aero Vodochody Pilot Jobs
Czech manufacturer founded in Prague in 1919 and based at Vodochody airfield, north of the capital, since 1953. Its L-39 Albatros, first flown in 1968 with some 2,900 built, became the standard jet trainer of most Warsaw Pact air forces and is now also flown by civil operators, display teams and private owners. The L-159 ALCA, a light combat aircraft and advanced trainer developed from the same line, serves with the Czech and Iraqi air forces and, as the L-159E, with Draken for adversary training. The L-39 Skyfox — developed as the L-39NG and renamed in October 2024 — is the new-build successor, powered by a Williams FJ44-4M turbofan and in series production since 2023.
