Boeing 757 Lead Pilot – L3Harris
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Pilot / Boeing 757 Pilot to join a professional flight crew supporting mission-critical defense operations from Richmond International Airport, Virginia.
The pilot will operate as part of an integrated flight and maintenance team, with responsibility for safe and efficient flight operations, crew training, qualification, scheduling, and compliance with company procedures and FAA requirements.
The position includes close coordination with customers, short-notice travel and on-call responsibilities. The pilot must maintain a strong safety culture while delivering reliable customer service and operational performance.
Employment is conditional on maintaining eligibility for a U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance, successfully completing the required Boeing 757 type rating, and obtaining a G550/G5 type rating if required.
The pilot must be domiciled within approximately one hour of Richmond International Airport (RIC) to meet time-sensitive operational and on-call requirements.
Requirements
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- Minimum 3,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 PIC flight hours
- Minimum 1,500 multi-engine turbine flight hours
- Experience operating aircraft with MTGW of 74,000 lb or greater
- FAA Class II medical certificate; First Class required at age 65 or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain an FAA airport security clearance/badge
- Ability to successfully complete the Boeing 757 type rating
- Ability to obtain a G550/G5 type rating, if required
- Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or graduate degree plus 7 years; alternatively, 13 years of relevant experience without a degree
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including 7 days a week and up to 12-hour operational periods
- Ability to lift or move 50–75 lb overhead
- Strong communication, organizational and customer-management skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Current Boeing 757/767 experience, with approximately 500 hours preferred
- Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
- RVSM training
- International flight experience
- Experience operating under FAR Part 91, 121, 125 or 135
