We are looking for First Officers (type-rated and non type-rated) to join our company. Who are we and what do we aim for?
Brussels Airlines is the home carrier of Belgium and a network airline of the Lufthansa Group. It connects the European capital from Brussels Airport with over 85 destinations, 17 of which are in Sub Saharan Africa. Brussels Airlines aims to emit 50% less CO2 by 2030 compared to 2019 and plans to be carbon neutral by 2050. The airline is part of the testing ground for sustainable aviation at its home base. Brussels Airlines already welcomed 8 state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo, and 5 still on order, allowing the airline to significantly lower its CO2- and noise-emissions on its medium-haul network.
As an ambassador of its country, Brussels Airlines brings the world to Belgium and the best of Belgium to the world, among others through collaborations with Belgian Star Chefs, Belgian culinary products and the Belgian Icons, specially painted aircraft that honour a Belgian iconic person, team or event to promote Belgian culture worldwide.
Brussels Airlines offers cargo capacity on all its flights, commercialized by Lufthansa Cargo. The airline also handles the daily maintenance of its aircraft fleet.
Brussels Airlines is a Lufthansa Group network airlines (a.o. Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS) and member of Star Alliance. The company was founded in 2002 and is 100% owned by Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid EASA ATPL (A) or CPL (A)/IR + ATPL frozen license
- Valid Multi Engine/IR (A) rating
- Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) course
- Advanced UPRT Training according EASA.FCL.745.A; (only applicable for applicants who have never obtained any rating)
- Good oral and written command of English language (ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency or higher)
- Fluency in Dutch or French is a must. If French or Dutch is not your native language, a certificate of language proficiency (CEFR min B2) needs to be provided.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate, still valid for at least 6 months
- Certificate of good conduct (bewijs van goed gedrag en zeden/certificat bonne vie et moeurs)
