Cape Air is seeking Captains for its Cessna 402 Part 135 operations based in Hyannis, Massachusetts, USA.
The Cape Air Captain acts as Pilot in Command (PIC) and is responsible for the safe, professional and efficient conduct of each flight. The Captain leads the flight crew, supervises flight preparation and loading, and ensures compliance with FAA regulations, company manuals, Operations Specifications and aircraft procedures.
Key responsibilities include aircraft pre-flight inspections, weather and NOTAM review, flight planning, fuel and weight-and-balance calculations, flight-plan preparation, cargo and baggage supervision, passenger safety, maintenance reporting and completion of required flight documentation.
The Captain maintains a professional cockpit environment, ensures the crew is fit for duty and supervises the Second in Command (SIC) when applicable.

Requirements
- FAA ATP – Multi-Engine Land
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Valid passport
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours cross-country flight time
- Minimum 250 hours PIC
- Minimum 100 hours night flight time
- Minimum 75 hours instrument time
- Minimum 50 hours multi-engine flight time
- Knowledge of FAA regulations, company manuals, Operations Specifications and aircraft flight manuals
- Ability to operate in accordance with FAR 135.265
- Ability to perform all essential Captain duties safely and professionally
