RFDS SA/NT Pilatus PC-12 Line Pilot – Alice Springs
Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia & Northern Territory (RFDS SA/NT) is seeking a Line Pilot for a full-time permanent position based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia.
The Line Pilot operates Pilatus PC-12 aircraft on a range of aeromedical and remote-area aviation missions, including emergency aeromedical evacuations, inter-hospital patient transfers and charter flights supporting primary healthcare teams across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary medical and aviation team, the pilot is responsible for the safe and professional conduct of single-pilot IFR operations in challenging rural and remote environments.
RFDS SA/NT operates a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft from bases including Alice Springs, Adelaide, Darwin and Port Augusta.

Requirements
- CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL-A)
- Current Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) with required renewals
- Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 100 hours night flying
- Recent single-pilot IFR experience within the last 2 years
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate effectively in demanding or high-pressure situations
- Commitment to RFDS values of care, integrity, collaboration and innovation
- Remote-area aircraft operations
- Pilatus PC-12 or PC-24 experience
- Knowledge of rural and remote Australia
- Emergency aeromedical or retrieval operations
- Turbine-engine aircraft experience
